Your session will take place at a location of your choice. Most families and children are best photographed outdoors, although a combination of indoors and outdoors works if they are at the same location. Making mobile little ones sit still in front of studio lights is a cruel type of torture more often than not. Outdoors is wonderful for children to be able to be themselves and allow their personalities to shine. My goal is to keep the session stress free, comfortable, and fun.
Do you have any locations in mind?
Yes. I have locations that are perfect for photographing, and I will be happy to share these with you.
I photograph clients everywhere. Mainly, I try to stay within 50 miles of 21161 in order to keep from having to charge any sort of travel fee and being more flexible on scheduling. Harford and Baltimore Counties are where I photograph most often, however, most parts of Carroll and Howard are no problem and no extra fee. If you live further out than that, we can always meet at a mutual location to avoid travel fees.
This is question I am always asked – these pictures are about YOU. Please feel free to wear what you are comfortable in. My Recommendations – There is a fine line between matching and complimenting colors. Keeping in the same color family is a great choice – or colors that compliment each other. Colors are better than white. White is not usually a good choice for adults, but for children it is fine. Everyone wearing the same color pants and same color and style of tops usually is a bit much as far as too matching, slight variations of the same color or style is great.
What if I book my my session and the weather is terrible?
This is not a problem. If we have weather issues, we will just reschedule. I try to remain as flexible as possible, and can rebook last minute if necessary.
What if my child is sick?
If your child is sick, please let me know as soon as possible. There’s nothing worse than making a child miserable during a photo shoot. I’m about keeping them happy, comfortable, and creating beautiful images. While I have never had to reschedule a difficult child because we always get great images, it’s best to set them up for success.
I am not afraid of pets – around here, animals are a part of my life (if you follow my personal blog – I’m sure you know this – I have horses, chickens, cats, dogs, birds, and a chinchilla!). Whether you have horses or you want to have your dog in the photos, drop me a note, and I will make arrangements.
If you have a special request that really shows off your family or you child, please let me know – I love special requests!
